University of Oxford Botanic Garden

One of my favourite things about living in Oxford is the number of beautiful spaces there are within the city including The University of Oxford Botanic Gardens. If you go to university in Oxford you can actually get in for free just by showing your student ID which makes it the perfect place to visit to relax. Having been founded in 1621 it is the oldest botanic gardens within Great Britain. It is home to over 6,000 different plant species and it truly is one of my favourite Oxford places to visit. It’s made up of three sections; the greenhouses, walled gardens and the lower gardens. The greenhouses are my personal favourites but on a sunny day, it all looks glorious. The opening hours do change depending on when you visit so do check before you go to avoid disappointment!
