Sydney ➙ Bryon Bay ➙ Fraser Island ➙ Airlie Beach ➙ Whitsundays ➙ Cairns
To say our Australian leg of our trip started badly is a bit of an understatement, long story short: FI had a visa for Australia and for some reason Flo’s hadn’t gone through properly. It was a very stressful experience and thank God for Kulua Lumpa airport for having the strongest public WiFi we had an emotional reunion and we both somehow made our connecting flight. We landed in Sydney about midday and where we dumped our bags and headed out to explore the city. In hindsight, we really should have planned Australia before getting there but thank the Lord for John at the travel agents next to our hostel for saving our trip and using every single connection he had for getting us onto all the tours we wanted. We had very limited time to travel the 1,500 miles between Sydney and Cairns which meant we had to take several overnight buses but hey, it means we saved on hostels! Fraser Island was the most incredible place I have ever been to, I’m still in awe that it even exists; we had such an amazing time in Australia and it’s just such a shame we had to rush it. We both loved doing the tabletop tour in Cairns, we had a hilarious driver who was so funny and took us to go see the oh so famous Mysterious Girl waterfall. Although Australia was short and sweet it was still amazing and it just means we will have to go back, right?
