London Diaries: Hello 2022

Hello! Long-time no speak, and welcome to 2022. I don't even know where to start with recapping life since August.

There were certainly some lows, but also I had some amazing highs! In September I felt waves of feeling so incredibly homesick and anxious. I took some time away and worked out what was making me feel that way, it's scary to step back and try and assess why you're feeling a certain emotion but it helps; I got through it eventually with the support of my lovely family and friends. All was well once again.

October came around, I was back in the city and doing what I love; going to gigs, seeing art and being with my friends. You may recall I went on my first solo gig a couple of months back; this month I went on more! I impulsively bought tickets to see The Howl and The Hum who were amazing, it was in Islington which is an area of London I just adore. I also went to see Jordan Mackampa which was a nice worknight out. I was lucky enough to see Little Amal from Good Chance Theatre at Somerset House. If you don't know what this is it's a festival of music, dance, and theatre in support of refugees; it was brilliant and moving. I ended the month on a boat for Halloween dressed as a pirate; a much better month than the last!

November was a month of birthdays; my housemates, my dads and mine! I hate to write it but I event went to the infamous infernos in November, it was probably the first and last time I'll be attending - why are the carpets so sticky?! I ended up going to see Sam Fender, it was incredibly spontaneous and oh my gosh, what a man! I went home at the end of the month to celebrate my birthday with my family back in Hampshire which was very relaxed.

In December, London became rater COVID-y again so I have to admit I spent seven days in the city before once more running back to Hampshire. Christmas was quite quiet, lots of food was consumed as per!

And here we are now, I'm certain I've forgotten many stories and events that took place but hey here we have a very brief overview of what's been going on.
